To make up for not being able to go to the DMZ, we instead went to the War Memorial Hall with its suitably severe architecture.

Elsewhere in the city, here is Admiral Yi Sun-sin who defended Korea against the Japanese and King Sejong who invented the Hangul alphabet now used to write Korean.
