Never get out of the boat

So after a train, two vans, and a bus, you can make it across the border to Laos.

Then it’s a two day trip by boat to Luang Prabang.

One day down the river is Pakbeng, which seems to be primarily about proving guesthouses for people moving up and down the river.

The families operating the boats stay on their boats of course. They run frighteningly flimsy extension cords from shore to run their lights at night.

In the morning, some elephants from the recover camp across the rivers were brought down to bathe.

Theres a railway under construction, and it may someday even be finished.
