The Royal Castle in Warsaw is largely a restoration after many waves of destruction, included the Nazi efforts to turn the city into a parking lot.
This wall in the Warsaw Old Town was left only partially restored.
The Wawel castle in Krakow suffered some redecoration by the Austro-Hungarians, but the Nazis did not disturb it or the surroudnings much because they considered Krakow to really be a German city.
The Austro-Hungarians knocked down these servants’ quarters to provide space for a parade ground.
Prague Castle doesn’t seem to have anybody trying to tear it down for several hundred years.
Český Krumlov Castle started with a private fortification to protect merchants.
