My last stop in Switzerland is Winterthur.
The Natural Museum had an exhibit fitted out like the hold of a clipper bringing back exotic samples form around the world… it even rocked and creaked.
The Museum Lindengut is a historical mansion turned into the city history museum. The mansion’s heyday seems to be between the 16th and 18th centuries and most of the exhibits date from that period.
There are three castles in and around Winterthur, but they all have limited or no hours during the winter so I couldn’t go inside any of them. I got as far as getting some exterior shots of Schloss Hegi, but a pretty good rain had set in by then so I headed back to the hotel to start packing.
Hi Matt,
How quickly a week goes!! Feel free to send anything you don’t want to drag around here to our house. Also feel free to give a call regardless of the time if you so wish. This next part should be quite a transition!!
Stay healthy, grab some rest and get that camera ready!!
Thanks for the post – Eleanor
