The 3 major historical Churches of Zürich.
Grossmünster, current structure dating back to 1100. Supposedly when the patron saints Felix and Regula were behaded they picked up their own heads and brough them here to indicate where they wanted to be buried.
Fraumünster, founded in 853
St. Peter, dating back prior to 800. Largest clock face in Europe.
As a bonus, the Wasserkirche (Water CHurch), so named because it used to be on its own island before the river was filled in. This is the legendary spot of execution of the the city patron saints Felix and Regula. Another church was obviously needed, since its a whole block to the Grossmünster form this spot.
