It turns out fastest way to Budapest was to actually go to Vienna. Additionally confusing is that although the Vienna Airport is in the direction of Budapest, you still have to come into the city center and get back out.
Took the funicular up Castle Hill this time. Much easier than climbing.
As it was not a Monday, things were actually open like the Budapest History Museum.
Also, because it wasn’t dark and overcast was able to get a good shot of the Chain Bridge.
I spent 3 hours at the history museum, them went to St. Stephen’s Basilica and wound up at a fair at the National Museum.
Then it was off to Keleti Station for the night train to Sibiu, Romania.
