First stop outside of US. Forgot to take pictures of/on the plane itself. Business class is pretty civilized; I even managed to get a decent amount of sleep. Landed at Haneda and took the train to Shinegawa Station. The train itself was not a problem, except I couldn’t always see any station signs so I had to count off. At Shinegawa Station I could only find the up escalator at the exit, so I had to take my luggage on the stairs. Then I couldn’t find the right entrance of the hotel, despite it being right across the street form the train station, so I would up at the wrong reception desk. I’m still not sure where the right entrance is.

My flight from PDX to SFO was only 1:15 late, so my paranoia was only partially realized. In all, only minor problems so far.

I’m currently wishing I had packed less, but I’m not sure what I could have left out without having to travel less.
