The mansion&#8217;s heyday seems to be between the 16th and 18th centuries and most of the exhibits date from that period.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/atw.pushingrectangles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3024.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/atw.pushingrectangles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3024\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are three castles in and around Winterthur, but they all have limited or no hours during the winter so I couldn&#8217;t go inside any of them. I got as far as getting some exterior shots of Schloss Hegi, but a pretty good rain had set in by then so I headed back to the hotel to start packing.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/atw.pushingrectangles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3025.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/atw.pushingrectangles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_3025.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3025\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My last stop in Switzerland is Winterthur.
