There’s a giant ruber duck in Darling Harbor. Don’t ask me why.

\nI went to the Australian National Maritime Museum, which features a number of ships as well as land-based exhibits. One of the ships was the tall ship James Grier, which on it’s forst voyage actually stopped in Portland. As this ship is maintained by a volunteer organization and not the museum itself I got essentially a private toure from some of the volunteers and there were more of them than visitors on that day.

I accidentally stumbles upon the Sydney Observatory. But since I was in between shows, I only saw the exhibits.

Last stop of the day was the Powerhouse Museum, a science\/technology museum. They have a locally built replica of the Strasbourg Clock.

On the day of my flight out of Australia, I had time to visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship.
